THE BRIEF
Make the collection sing.
A young professional and avid collector, of art, vintage furniture, and the odds and ends gathered from a life of travel, came to us to help a newly acquired space feel like hers. She had the pieces and the point of view; what she needed was a way to bring them into conversation.
We built the room around what she already loved, blending cherished finds with new furnishings and layering texture, color, and pattern until the space felt collected rather than assembled. The result is casual and sophisticated at once, intimate enough for close friends and full of stories worth asking about.
“The most timeless rooms are not matched, they are collected. This one will keep evolving with her, exactly as it should.”
— Studio 1049
THE DETAILS
A room with a point of view.
01
Architecture as backdrop
Exposed brick and a mid-century modern fireplace give the space instant character and warmth.
02
Old and new, in dialogue
Vintage and inherited pieces sit easily alongside new furnishings, proof that a collected home never goes out of style.
03
Texture over trend
Layered materials and pattern do the work here, keeping the room personal rather than of-the-moment.
